you should know the following about me: I have been drawing and painting
portraits for 20 some years with a bachelor's degree in studio art, and actively
performed in a bluegrass band for over 40 years. I have been doing all I can to bring
a bit of sunshine to folks ever since. My specialty in portraits is pencil drawing
because my ultimate love is in shades of gray and subtleties in texture although I am
not a stranger to color.
In music, I am a self-taught Lead/Rhythm bluegrass guitarist and have taken
professional intermediate banjo lessons. I have been giving lessons nearly all my life
and love passing along what I know. I provide 1/2 hour, one on one instruction with printed and audio study aids. This is not music theory
instruction, however we cannot help but talk about that a little, I will teach you how to listen and play what you hear and how to read
tablature.
